San Pedro de Atacama – Desert of Stars –

Dry winds, moonlit valleys, endless skies

San Pedro de Atacama

Arriving in San Pedro de Atacama, one of the driest deserts on earth, we feel the stillness of the air and the laid‑back rhythm of a town filled with backpackers and dreamers. At night, the skies open wide — stars shining with a clarity found nowhere else. By day, we wander into the Valley of the Moon. Here stand The Three Marys, rock formations sculpted over millions of years by desert wind and salt erosion, also known as The Watchers. Granite, quartz, and clay shaped into figures that seem to guard the valley. The desert stretches beyond, vast and silent, a landscape of time and eternity.
