Along the Rail Track to Machu Picchu

Hidden tracks, gardens and waterfalls, butterflies drifting

Along the rail track to Machu Picchu ‐

We follow the rail from the hydroelectric station, walking the line toward Aguas Calientes — an alternative path, slower, quieter, away from the crowds. At Cataratas de Mandor, a botanical garden opens into a waterfall tumbling through the jungle. Butterflies flicker in the air, bright wings wandering among the trees. The rails guide us onward, the river running beside, until the town appears — gateway to the citadel beyond.
