Peter Kropotkin (1842 – 1921) was a Russian anarchist and scientist. Born into nobility and with a military education, he gradually abandoned the values of his social class and became an anarchist, opposed to both the rule of the Tsars and to the seizing of power by the authoritarian Bolsheviks.
