Turks fruit (Turkish Delight) is a 1973 Dutch drama film by Paul Verhoeven starring Rutger Hauer and Monique van de Ven, based on the novel by Jan Wolkers. With more than 3.3 million visitors, Turkish delight is the most successful Dutch cinema film of all time. The movie received an Oscar nomination for best non-English-language production and, in 1999, it won a special Golden Calf for ‘Best Dutch film of the twentieth century’ after an audience survey during the Dutch Film Festival.
