Plato – Greek philosopher, student of Socrates.  Plato’s philosophy is characterized by his concept of Forms or Ideas, which he believed were the ultimate reality and the source of all knowledge. He argued that the physical world we experience is only an imperfect reflection of these eternal and unchanging Forms.
