East German taxi driver Helmut Grokenberger receives the African-American young man YoYo as a passenger. Helmut was a clown by profession in his home country, but was less successful as a driver. He cannot handle the automatic gearbox and agrees to YoYo driving. YoYo picks up his sister-in-law and the two yell at each other and scold each other. Helmut, who has no family of his own, enjoys the family life he now experiences. (With Giancarlo Esposito)
