Ecce Bombo follows the lives of four university students, Michele, Goffredo, Mirko, and Vito, who were active in the student movements of the 1960s. Now in their 20s, they are struggling to find their place in society, feeling marginalized and misunderstood. The film, released in 1978, was written and directed by Nanni Moretti. It was his first commercial success and marked the beginning of his professional movie-making career.
