“One Night with the King” is a movie adaptation of the biblical story of Esther, a Jewish girl who becomes the Queen of Persia and saves her people from genocide. The film tells the story of Hadassah, a Jewish orphan who is raised by her cousin Mordecai. She is chosen to be part of the Persian King’s harem and takes on the name Esther. Esther captures the heart of King Xerxes and becomes Queen.
